The girlfriend NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden left behind in the United States has beenidentified by Inside Edition as Lindsay Mills, a former ballet dancer and graduate of the Maryland College of Art.
 
Mills is reportedly a member of the Waikiki Acrobatic Troupe in Hawaii.
 
Snowden hopped on a plane to Hong Kong weeks ago after he leaked classified information about the NSA’s secret and massive surveillance programs. The whistleblower revealed the government’s secret court order requiring Verizon to turn over all customer metadata and also leaked information on “PRISM,” a surveillance program that reportedly collects data on millions of Americans from telecommunications and online companies.
 
In an exclusive interview with the Guardian newspaper, Snowden said he never told Mills exactly where he was going, only that he would be gone for a few weeks. He said “that was not an uncommon occurrence for someone who has spent the last decade working in the intelligence world” so his girlfriend didn’t ask questions.

So my question is... Why did this guy risk everything... including HER, she seems very flexible, but he still bailed!
